Common questions
Where is my data stored?
On your device, and with iCloud Sync on, in your own private iCloud so it's the same on your iPhone, iPad and Mac. Nothing is sent to us or anyone else.
How do I get my data on a new device?
With iCloud Sync on, sign in with the same Apple ID and open the app: your data comes across before the welcome guide. You can also restore a device backup, or export from ⚙️ Configuration → Export Data and import the files on the new device.
Why do reminders only come on one device?
With iCloud Sync, every device has the same plans, so only your iPhone sends reminders by default. Turn them on for another device in ⚙️ Configuration → Notifications → Send on This iPad.
Can I lock the app?
Yes, with Face ID, Touch ID or your passcode. Touch and hold the app's icon on the Home Screen and choose Require Face ID, Require Touch ID or Require Passcode, whichever your device shows (iOS 18 or later).
I'm not getting reminders
Check iPhone Settings → Notifications → My Expense Diary, then ⚙️ Configuration → Notifications in the app, where each kind of reminder can be turned on and timed.
How do I use Siri?
Say, for example, “Log an expense in My Expense Diary” or “What's my next payment in My Expense Diary”. All phrases are in ⚙️ Configuration → Siri & Shortcuts. Siri needs to be set to English.
Why isn't an EMI or autopay showing yet?
Plan payments are added on their due dates when the app opens. Open the app once after the due date and they'll appear.
