Privacy Policy

My Expense Diary · Effective 3 October 2026

My Expense Diary is built so that your financial information stays with you. This policy explains what that means.

We don't collect your data

The app has no account, no sign-in, no ads, no analytics and no tracking. It never sends anything to us or to any third party. We never see, receive, store or sell anything you enter.

Where your data is kept

Everything you add (profiles, payment methods, balances, expenses, plans, reminders and settings) is stored on your device, inside the app. It's included in your device's iCloud or computer backup, which Apple handles under Apple's own privacy policy.

iCloud Sync

With iCloud Sync on (Configuration → iCloud Sync), your data is also kept in the private iCloud database of your own Apple ID, so it stays the same on your iPhone, iPad and Mac. Apple stores it under Apple's privacy policy; it uses your iCloud storage. Only you can see it: we have no access to it. Turn iCloud Sync off at any time to keep your data on this device only.

Features that use iOS

Import and export

When you export, the app creates CSV files that you choose where to send or save. When you import, the app reads only the files you pick. What happens to exported files after that is up to you.

Deleting your data

Use ⚙️ Configuration → Reset App Data, or delete the app. Both remove the data from your device.

Children

The app isn't directed at children and doesn't knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
